This is Tim Taylor, aka “Santa for Palliative Care”.

Tim is truly a “Gift-Giver Extraordinaire” and you can usually find Tim from the end of November to the end of December travelling around town appearing at Christmas gatherings with his “Santa for Palliative Care” ensemble, collecting donations in our name.

We are very blessed to have such an amazing man about town boosting our ever-needed funds throughout the year.

    The Healing Cycle

Recently, Tim has taken on a new twist to his routine.

He is donning his Santa Gear and riding his bicycle in our latest fundraising incentive, “The Healing Cycle”. This ride is in support of ALL Ontario Hospice Palliative Care organizations and we generally see at least 50 teams of riders.

    The Pedal Pushers

Our organization has been a part of this ride for the past 7 yrs as the “Pedal Pushers”. We’ve been fortunate to rank in the top three teams overall in that time. Tim in fact is one of the original team members to ride in this fundraiser.

The Healing Cycle ride has always taken place in Mississauga Ontario, where all teams met and rode their chosen distances. This year, due to the current pandemic, the ride has pivoted and gone virtual. Instead of doing one ride on a specific day, all participants are invited to complete a set distance over the course of the month of September.

Riders will participate in a virtual distance 400 km challenge that everyone, regardless of fitness level or ability, can participate in. Teams will set their distance where they can cycle, walk or run – recording their distance.
