    Join Niagara-On-The-Lake Community Palliative Care and the Niagara North Family Health Teams for a day of learning and self-advocacy for navigating the healthcare system in Niagara.

    We are excited to welcome our keynote speakers for the day, Dr. Hsien Seow, PhD, & Dr. Samantha Winemaker, co-hosts of The Waiting Room Revolution podcast and co-authors of the book ‘Hope for the best, Plan for the rest: 7 keys for navigating a life-changing diagnosis‘.

    We will also have Community Tables set up around the event of various organizations, information and more for people to connect with. These include NNFHT OT/Care for the Caregiver, Memory Clinic & Dietitians, the Alzheimer’s Society, Hospice Niagara, Wellspring Niagara, and Home & Community Care Planning.

    Everyone is welcome to register for this event! The day will include a complimentary lunch and break-out rooms in the afternoon.

    KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

    Dr. Samantha Winemaker is a community-based palliative care physician in the Greater Hamilton region and Associate Professor at McMaster University. Dr. Hsien Seow is a Professor and the Canada Research Chair in palliative care and health
    system innovation at McMaster University. They are the co-hosts of The Waiting Room Revolution podcast and co-authors of the book, ‘Hope for the Best, Plan for the Rest: 7 keys for navigating a life-changing diagnosis.
