It takes more than a pandemic to keep Santa away! We are so pleased to announce that thanks to ‘excellent Wi-Fi’ at the North Pole, Santa can do virtual visits this year!

It has been a challenging time for all of us, including our children. We have had to be isolated from our routines, family, and friends; it has been confusing and stressful.

Christmas will look a little different this year too, but more than ever, we are all needing a little ‘magic,’ and Santa is back to help deliver that magic to all of us.

It takes more than a pandemic to keep Santa away

Tim Taylor has donned his Santa suit and donated his time to be our ‘Santa for Palliative Care’ for several years now, going into schools and homes to help raise funds for Niagara-on-the-Lake Community Palliative Care Service.

Every visit is by donation, which goes directly to Niagara-on-the-Lake Community Palliative Care Service.

Every donation, no matter how small, goes towards assisting those in your community by funding essential services provided by Niagara-on-the-Lake Community Palliative Care Service, such as:

  • Community Support Volunteers who offer both companionship and respite;
  • Our lending library of resources that includes books and DVD’s;
  • equipment rental that assists people in finding comfort and mobility, and;
  • Bereavement services for loved ones.

Niagara-on-the-Lake Community Palliative Care Service has been serving its community since 1986, providing care, support, education, equipment, and companionship. All of our services are free of charge, thanks to fundraising efforts such as this.

How Does A Virtual Visit From Santa Work?

Setting up a Zoom meeting with Santa is easy.

You can email him (see the section below on how to schedule your visit) and, after agreeing on a date and time, there are two ways you can schedule your visit.

If you are seeking to set up a Zoom call with Santa with a single-family unit, then Santa can send you a Zoom invitation through email. If you are looking to include multiple families, friends or coworkers, then it is suggested that the call is set-up on your end and that the invitation is sent to him.

Also, customizing your children’s visit with Santa is easy to do! To customize your visit, all you need to do is connect with Tim via email, sending him a list of names and details about the children. This guarantees a magical experience for them and the whole family.

Each Zoom call with Santa is approximately 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the number of participants and how much fun you are all having!
